All Africa Games: I’m going for gold in Congo-Siasia

BASKING from the euphoria of ending the dream of his Congolese counterpart in the Olympic Games qualifiers, chief coach of the national U-23 team, Samson Siasia, has expressed confidence of his team winning gold medal in the Brazzaville, Congo 2015 All Africa Games (AAg).
While declaring that winning the football gold of the Games will not be a challenge to him in a chat with sports writers, SiaOne maintained that such feat would add to his ratings and achievement as a coach, stressing that it is not a mission impossible.
Siasia who described his teams impressive display in Congo last weekend as a very daunting task, used the opportunity to shower encomium on his players for making him proud, revealing that participating in the AAG would help prepare his players for the last lap of the qualifiers for the football event of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games in Senegal.
Disclosing that his team will reconvene next week Tuesday to resume preparations for AAG, World Cup Coach as friends fondly call him assured that his team will strive to win football gold despite belonging to a tough group comprising countries like Egypt, Cote d’Ivoire and Ghana.
He equally disclosed that the technical crew would continue to give opportunity to more players who are good enough to make the team stronger, admitting: “It was a very difficult one in Congo but we had our plans. Things did not just happen like that, we planned for it and it worked for us.” “You know they came with some new professional players, but we were not worried with that because we were focused on our plans of ensuring that they did not score us. I told my players to be very careful because it would have been more difficult if they had scored us towards the end of the game. We would have been out completely.
“There would not be a better preparation for Senegal like the All Africa Games. I think it is a good one for us before we go for the last lap of the Olympics qualifier. It will definitely help us to prepare for Senegal. For me, I do not see winning the All Africa Games as a challenge, but as a goal which will add to my achievements.
